Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Hospice Georgina. We offer a variety of opportunities to learn, grow and give back to our community. Serving as a hospice volunteer can challenge your spirit, fill your heart and enrich your own life. You are guaranteed to meet extraordinary people who will share this incredible journey with you.
Caring, generous volunteers complement our programs and aid us in our mission to provide care for families in our community who face chronic conditions, illness, death, and bereavement. Volunteer applications are accepted year round. We encourage both male and female volunteers from all cultural, social and professional backgrounds. All volunteers are expected to complete a police screening, volunteer interview, orientation and attend volunteer Time Together meetings.

June Callwood Volunteer Award
In 1994, the Hospice Association of Ontario (HAO) established an annual award to honour hospice volunteers. The award was named for the late June Callwood, writer and activist, who founded Casey's House AIDS hospice, Nellie's Place women's hostel and Jessie's Place teen hostel in Toronto, ON.
