Grieving
When someone you have known has died, you may feel pain, frightened, lost, tired, and a sense of loneliness. But you do not need to grieve alone. Hospice Georgina will be with you and provide support through this process. Hospice Georgina’s staff and trained volunteers are here to listen, comfort, and accept. We provide a safe space for individuals to share their thoughts, feelings, memories, and dreams. Additionally, we are able to provide information and referrals to other useful resources.
Hospice Georgina offers bereavement support to caregivers, family members, and friends following a death. Our services are open to children, youth, and adults.

One-to-One Bereavement Support
Our trained staff can provide individual support for a person who is bereaved. Volunteer support can be offered through home visits or over the phone. Our volunteers listen, accept, comfort, and provide compassion at this difficult time. Specially trained volunteers are matched one-to-one with children and youth who are grieving.
Bereavement Support Groups
After the loss of a loved one, many people want to connect with others who have experienced a loss. The bereavement support group is an intimate peer support group for adults. The group
All services are provided for no fee to our clients The groups are open to all individuals in Georgina who are experiencing grief. Being part of a grief support group can be a healthy step in accepting the loss of a loved one and moving down the path to renewed happiness and health.
