Bereavement Support Groups
After the loss of a loved one; many people find it helpful to connect with others who have experienced a loss. The group usually meets for a limited duration on a weekly basis in a comfortable, supportive and safe environment. Groups are facilitated by trained volunteers.
Support groups are open to all individuals in Georgina who are experiencing grief. Being part of a grief support group can be a healthy step in accepting the loss of a loved one and moving down the path to renewed happiness and wellness.

A Daughter's Healing
"When I look back on my sleepless nights and stress filled days, I now see that much of the time I was grieving. Grieving is not something that happens all at once, and then you're done. Grieving can still be going on at some level years after the death of a parent".
- Carol, May 2010
Daughters have complicated, often conflicted relationships with parents that can present challenges when a parent dies. Join us for a helpful six week grief support program if you are a daughter who has lost a parent years ago or recently. Next session runs in April 2011.
