Quiet Places to Remember

Visit our Peaceful Gazebo
The Gazebo overlooking the Black River is a peaceful place to reflect and rest. It is always open for you to visit. It becomes a place to make friends and to enjoy the peaceful view of the river, a place to share and gather strength. The Gazebo was donated by the Sutton Kinettes.

Our Quiet Room
Our Quiet Room overlooks the river and has large comfy chairs, including power assist recliners. It is available during office hours Monday to Thursday.

Labyrinth
Visit our labyrinth in the peace garden at the Georgina Civic Centre. Besides fresh air and exercise, it is a calming space pressing us to improve our reflective muscles. Walking the labyrinth can help us find a sense of peace, purpose and a better focus on our own needs and the needs of others. In that beautiful setting, at our own pace, each of us can contemplate life's beauty and meaning.

Memory Tree
Also at the Civic Centre is the Memory Tree, a beautiful green spruce. We invite you to add the name of someone dear to you on the tags located next to the tree.

Community Memorial Services
Each Christmas season our local funeral homes hold a memorial service to celebrate and honour those who have died during the past year. We hope this service will remind families of the warmth of shared Christmases past, of brighter holidays to come and the importance of fellowship and support.
