Community Education
Hospice Georgina would like to provide the community with timely and accurate information about end-of-life care issues including awareness of hospice services, information on palliative care, caregiving, grief and bereavement, advanced planning, and community resources.
By offering community education, we hope that more people will feel comfortable discussing end-of-life care planning to ensure their wishes are known. We offer information to support discussions that are couched in a philosophy of living as well as possible until death, including effective pain management, easy access to grief and bereavement support and a respect for each person's autonomy and dignity.
We have links to some helpful articles below. We also can arrange for a speaker for your group and have a resource library in our Sutton office. Pamphlets on Hospice Georgina services are available in our office or can be mailed. Visit our website often for updated information, workshops and support services.
